Plot twist: by the power of the artist's medical misunderstanding, the 'brain damage' enables her to see.
What if with her eyesight coming back, a role reversal begins. The ex blind girl becomes the bully while the bully becomes bullied. Maybe this is why the artist was trying to draw some sympathy for the bully in the previous pages.

Hmmm, artist lost me on this one. I know they are tying to paint a hopelessly sad world where everyone is against this one girl for no real reason...but this is going far beyond the realm of possibility. You're not going to find a hospital with this much blatant apathy and cruelty....the doctors wouldn't have their jobs or their freedom for long. Plus you don't just walk out a hospital, there's release paperwork that most be done....so if something happened to her on her way home, the hospital would become responsible for releasing a blind individual out on their own.
I don't mind dark stories, but when it's this far removed from logic just to put the character into as dark a reality as possible....you kill my interest. But then again, I thought it was great when the dog started talking so convenient hypocrisy I guess.

Triple quadruple sculls pot twist: This is hell. In her past life blind girl could see, and she used to bully a bunch of disabled kids horribly.
Now that she’s dead, she must live in this hell as a blind person being forever tormented by everyone and everything. That’s why it doesn’t follow strict logic

She should have the memories from that time then. Otherwise you are just torturing a completely different person with the same soul.

Could be a deal where, after the torment is over she gets a flashback of all the things she did in her life. I’ve seen several similar scenarios play out like this. Think silent hill.
