AK did something like this with one of their login event on Dusk banner where you pull 2 tickets and the one with higher number of currency is the one granted to you. The difference is they put a 'safety margin' where if you pull 2 tickets and you got less than 400 on the highest number, you'll get 400 currency plus whatever currency you pull on the next day.

Some people were getting extra tickets the day of the prizes before the guaranteed ticket leading many to believe that the prizes were done on purpose like that to drum up controversy and buzz
