Given how she's got a normal right arm again, it makes one wonder whether she's switched to a new body, assuming technology hadn't improved enough in the years since the original allowing her to maintain her original body, or at the very least, keep from it that which kept her in it in the first place.

The issue with her old body is less about the tech and more that it's an out-of-production SF model, which made it difficult to actually find replacement parts for.

It probably still is the same model, and that she's found replacement parts over time (a lot can happen over 6 years), or this one is a temporary body while her combat ready one is elsewhere. You'd think if she was able to get a completely new body, they'd fix her eyes.

It's probably to remind herself of her past, especially of 40. This would fit with her character, especially considering that she had preferred to keep that old beaten-up frame instead of switching to a new body, despite the limitations it would bring to active combat.
