Damn I wish he listed media or just had a larger image. It looks like it may be /trad, acrylic on canvas or such, but the fauxs have been getting more and more realistic over time. It's quite the problem.

Yeah I hate to break it to you but all the effects you see here can be done very easily in photoshop. The whole thing can be done with simple brushes.
