    In all fairness to him, there's no way he couldn't known that:

    1.) They'd keep the desire for what's usually a fairly innocent and childish marriage promise alive into their late teens. Kids do usually grow out of that.

    2.) That they'd be well on the way to becoming Yanderes with how they're looking to go about this.
