Not sure if this is significant, but before running into translated urethra play manga, I'd always seen these referred to as "urethral sounds", or just "sounds", rather than "bougies", and that's the name by which both sex toy shops and medical supply houses tend to sell them. Y'know, if you find yourself in the market.

(To be clear, bougie is also correct, just apparently less common in genitourinary contexts.)

Sadly last thing I saw in connection to this was a notice that they were taking a break last year April this time then nothing else from this series that I could find
