wow! Seriously? That's absolutely excellent news because that is one sweet game. I'm a bit saddened if this is the only new roster tho. I would've made different selections myself. But I have no doubt that the game won't be made even better because of it.
I don't know what you're talking about but it make Cirno and Sanae playable characters and bring back Hong then that sounds like great news to me. I'll finally have a good reason to find a download of this game and play it.
Yea~ sorry about it, It's actually the new fighting Touhou -12.3- (weird label) and not a patch or an expansion for SWR... For those few new chara, the choice was because they were the three first characters fans wanted to play with. And there's probably a lot more (bgm remixes, fixes etc...)... But there's nothing really sure about it except for its retail date ~15/08/09, and um...A silhouette of Cirno occupies the front of Cover's jewel case, so she IS the final boss! Wait...what? That would be both awesome and down right hilarious. Hopefully this isn't false hope and that ZUN doesn't break tradition before it's release. BTW what happened to TH12, is it finished yet?
But... darn, look at Sanae's boobs compared to Meiling's. They're huge by comparison, which is surprising, as I was expecting Meiling to out-bust Sanae.
Mokou, Yuugi, Utsuho, Yuuka, Flandre, Kanako/Suwako, Shikieiki... They're all eagerly awaited potential new characters but neglected. Instead of them we got... Cirno! Kinda awesome, kinda disappointing... It's still completly weird. (

They've said that the new game will have 5 new characters, right? And Meiling isn't exactly new, just an update on the old one.
So would that mean they still have 3 characters unannounced? I'd expect one of them to be from TH12, and a then either two new characters, or one new character and a character from a previous game.
Actually, the other three unannounced characters are: TH10: Suwako Moriya TH11: Utsuho Reiuji (Okuu) NEW: an unplayable giant catfish who happens to be the EX-boss in Meiling's Story Mode
Sorry folks, but there is no EX-Cirno.
And, it can be installed as an expansion to TH10.5
