That's a fun car roughly based off the chassis as the ND MX-5. However, it is different enough that the standard Fiat 124 Spider and 2017 and later Abarths are an NF/NFM Mazda chassis codes and the early first and maybe some second year Abarths were NE.
Production begins with building the chassis at Mazda's Hiroshima plant while shipping the Abarth-ordered chassis to Fiat's Turin plant for final assembly.
On top of some of its own body panels that increases its length, trunk capacity and wheels, the 124 gets unique shocks and the MultiAir FIRE 1.4-liter turbocharged I4. It's the same engine found in the 500/500 Abarth, which is equally fun to drive.
