Regarding “Uruha Rushia,” it has been apparent for some time that she has been distributing false information to third parties and has been leaking information, including communications regarding business matters. We have been investigating the facts related to these matters.
With respect to the above, we were able to confirm that she engaged in acts that: violated her contract by leaking information that she acquired from the company as well as communication over SNS, both of which she has a responsibility to protect; and caused the company to suffer reputational damage, such as by publicizing falsehoods to various related parties. As a result, we, as a company, have determined that it has become difficult to continue managing and supporting her and have elected to make this decision.
I fully understand their decision. Fubuki and Flare also state they also understand Cover's decision, and Fubuki would be the first out the door if she even suspects any fuckery on Cover's side.

I mean that's fairly standard.
I'm not too up to speed on the particulars though. Is the whole 'publicizing falsehoods' thing just code for 'pretended she didn't have a boyfriend' or what?

Cover made a statement I think about a week ago were they said they had no problems with what their members did in the personal private lives. So, I have no clue what the "publicizing falsehoods" would entail. Though breaking NDAs and leaking tightly guarded info will get you shitcanned no matter what.

No, Cover officially supported her earlier stating that their talents private life is not their problem. This is likely (really emphasizing this) due to her sharing internal communication with a rumor/drama channel to clear her name with the possibility that she have leak more info even before the mafu incident.
Also, and this is a clear difference, Cover is glassing her channel and shutting down her channel membership next month. Also, her birthday merchandise is being refunded to anyone who pre-ordered. Compare this to Coco's departure, who's membership stayed up about three months after her departure and whose channel is still up.
The last thing Cover would want is this sort of publicity less than a month from one of their biggest events of the year, Hololive Super Expo/3rd fes. This would naturally also necessitate removal of her solo and any group performances she was scheduled to participate in. Obviously the whole debacle came at a very bad time, but their hand must really have been forced, because if the situation was at all tenable I imaging they would have waited until after the event to handle things. As unfair as it is, that may have led some to think they milked her character for one last bit of cash before terminating the contract. So really there was no winning this one.
Above all, just hoping the fallout remains professional and that the girls, Rushia included, land on their feet and can remain friends. Unfortunately, unlike with Coco, I fear mention of Rushia will be taboo for the talents, which is a shame.

At diference of Coco, Aloe, or even 3 of the graduated members of Holostars (Kaworu, Kira and Suzaku), Rushia was literally fired in the same way Hitomi was too. Thats what make things even worse on this perspective.
- Rushia left her discord notifications on by accident while streaming - A message from her maybe boyfriend pops up, live on stream - This is just before valentines day so there's extra drama - Rushia tries to clear her name by going to a Japanese drama youtube channel named Kore kore (think Japanese Keemstar) - She shares WAY too much with Korekore, including company messages between her and her manager - Korekore makes a big drama video about it because that's his fucking job - Cover fires Rushia for leaking company details

AKA Fight fire with fire, ends up with huge explosion. As sad I am with her departing the group, leaking insider info (thus breaking NDA) to shift the spotlight from you was the most idiotic thing one could do to save your career.

I have a feeling there were more leaks than anything Korokore allegedly claimed he had. I don't think Cover would fire her like the way they did if it was just that.
I'm surprised this Japanese Keemstar guy doesn't leak more on the info than he already did, if he had more of it. Either the info that he said is all of what he knew, he is "benevolent" enough to draw a line, or maybe something else entirely.
He could risk a potential lawsuit if he leaked out too much especially the more sensitive stuff.
