It's very likely, considering Ranni is the one who speaks during the scenery transition in the second cutscene.

You know, it's kinda weird that Ranni isn't more mad about the fact that you basically try to off her lethargic mother. I don't think she even mentions it when you see her again.

I figured the second phase is something she set up in advance, so when you meet her she isn't aware of what went down. She doesn't mention when Blaidd, Seluvis and Iji are killed either, again she's unaware.
