昔プラモデルを作りまくっていたなぁと思い出して最近のツールを一通り揃えなおして再び作っているのですが、各種ツールの進化に驚いてます。おおまかな形態は変わらないのですが、使い勝手がすごく良くなってました。
また、個人でも3Dプリンタで形状出力ができるなど、少年時代では考えられなかった領域の工作手段も広まってきています。手段と目的が両方ハイレベルになっているのを実感しますが､出費もハイレベルになりました…。

イラストのほうは、縦置きでも横置きでも成立するように作ってみました。

I remembered making lots of plastic models as a child and recently, I have gathered all the necessary tools and started to make them again, but I was amazed by the progress that has been made in tool design. The shape has not changed much, but they have become much simpler to use.
Furthermore, it is now possible to use a 3D printer to produce things in any shape, so the methods employed in carrying out a hobby have been enlarged to a degree I could not have imagined when I was young. I feel that both methods and objectives have attained a very high level but at the same time, so has the cost...

I drew this illustration so it can be looked at either vertically or horizontally.
