Hourai is only the lunatic spell version of shangai, they used the same skin, so choosing if its hourai or shangai its actually impossible, furthermore it has never actually been stated. I agree that for tagging we should choose a name and stick to it, but now i wonder, when we use the hourai tag? This is a serious question, since i find myself quite lost in the hourai tag when to use it. If you go by some random guess actually shangai would be a red doll - Marisa stole the precious thing features shangai in a red dress - Shangai is in china making it a place from a red flag. - And in SA, marisa uses red dolls, that shee keeps using as bombs, i wouldnt see why alice will send the strongest dolls and i doubt she has that many.
Any thoughts about this? when should i use hourai tag?
Other than sharing the same sprite with Shanghai, the doll has no official artwork.
Varying means of differentiating Hourai from Shanghai in fan works include depicting her wearing a bonnet instead of a hair bow, wearing a red dress instead of a maid outfit, and depicting her hanged (cf. spell card name "Hanged Hourai Dolls"). Some stick to the sprite and hold it that Hourai looks completely identical to Shanghai.
I think theres times that its really obvious but considering Shanghai is pretty well established with a look ide say its probably shanghai unless otherwise noted or obvious.
