The big "sound effect" just says "Chima" and I don't know what to do with that. Shaw's dense speech bubble was read as "Then the minister will be my wife, follow me" or "Then the minister is home with everyone, come with me" and as I don't know any Japanese I can't untangle that mess.

I've never seen anyone else be told it was an issue when they did it. Besides, the number of untranslated posts is high. I'd say that a machine translated post is better than nothing. The likelihood of a post being translated is really low if it hasn't already been translated within the first day, so I did part of the work to encourage better translators to finish it. Or do you prefer "Translation bump" comments?

See howto:translate, right at the bottom: "Note: Straight-up machine translations are not allowed"
I'm skeptical you've actually seen people get away with it. People have literally gotten banned for posting MTLs and throwing a fit when told by mods not to do it. If you can't actually read the language yourself, you have no way of knowing how accurate the translation given to you actually is. Just because it sounds right doesn't mean it is. No translation is better than a bad translation. It doesn't matter how many untranslated posts there are.
I would prefer you used topic #7805. The last thing I want to see is more useless bumping comments.
