You can feel however you want about it, but no one liked when Goldsaw did it, and the numbers show it wasn't very appreciated when you did it on the Blacknight post. So I don't see you garnering much support if this becomes a trend for you going forward.

This skin receives like a negative amount of fanart. Clearly most CN players don't feel too hot about that skin. Instead, the Chinese websites are full of Flamebringer art. And for good reason as that skin is not your ordinary beach skin.

Now you're just connecting nonexistent dots. This skin was just officially announced, and it already had two posts here before that, I presume from a reveal on stream. Not everyone watches those. The Blacknight skin already has six(actually nine as of this writing, and after you claimed it wouldn't get any because it wasn't lewd enough) fanarts here, none of which were originally uploaded before the official announcement. Lastly, all four Flamebringer skin posts we have came from artists who either draw the male characters equally as or more often than the female characters, or have a special interest in Flamebringer specifically.

It has absolutely nothing to do with what he's wearing, and everything to do with the fact everyone's precious welfare baby got a skin at all. He could be wearing swim trunks, a speedo, or a banana costume, it literally would not matter. Flamebringer is just very popular among certain groups of the community.

You are omitting the fact that this here is still Danbooru, not Lofter.
If you don't think the amount of fanart of the characters is a gauge to measure popularity, then i don't know what is. But uploads on Danbooru surely are not.

I omitted nothing; I explicitly stated my examples were Danbooru posts. I only used those as easy examples anyone can see; I don't know how to navigate Lofter. The point is that they can't be used as a gauge of skin appeal, especially when talking about male characters, because fans of male characters are starved for acknowledgement of their faves.

I don't think there are very many artists drawing his new skin that weren't already prone to drawing him, and considering it's his first skin since he released, I doubt they'd care much what it was. It definitely has nothing to do with it not being a swimsuit.

So, you are claiming these artists only draw Flamebringer? But then you also say you don't know how to navigate lofter? So, you can't really judge what you are saying.
Then what about zuo daoxing who is probably the most prolific Chinese artist for Arknights, at least on lofter. They've drawn Flamebringer but not the other two. Now, you could say that lofter has a strong male art bias, and I wouldn't deny that. Also, of course lofter is chinese, so you have to be careful with art showing skin, however there's still plenty of swimsuit and bikini art there.
Browsing the popular pages on lofter also indicates a huge lack of art for the other two, while FB is still there, strong. It'S evidently clear that artists there don't really care for the other two, and the lurkers there also don't really look for Carnelian or Blacknight art.

Can't wait to buy this skin on global
