上手く and 旨く both read the same way, "umaku", but the former means "skillful" while the latter means "delicious". I have no idea how to translate this wordplay into English well, though...

I don't think this image is playing on that? It seems to just be using the first meaning.

I mean, the author played on words and drew the girl writing the wrong kanji, which is corrected by the person from the right
