I have plenty of problems with that video. He barely even touches on the alleged differences between the English and Japanese scripts, hell, he barely really touches on anything. He just says a lot of things, and doesn't provide a whole lot to back any of it up. He doesn't really elaborate on any of his points. A complete waste of 12 minutes of my life. Oh, right, and he used the 4chan post of all things as evidence.

Also the comments are filled with people who don't know shit about GG lore and are only there because it's a video that supports their views about this character they know nothing about.

When did I say I didn't understand it? I understood full well what his points were. My issue is that he did fuck all to actually back anything he said up. He just said shit and just expected all of it to be accepted at face value. That video is only useful to people who will believe anything you tell them and people looking for anything that validates their dumbass "Bridget was groomed" stance.

No one arguing Bridget isn't a girl ever cites anything. I'd be fine with whatever the truth really is, but I'm not accepting anything without something solid to back it up.

Thinking Bridget is a girl only makes sense from an american view on gender. He's a japanese character, and it takes a lot of understanding of their history on gender roles and how language plays into it to fully grasp what the story is about. Hence why japanese artists (and the general population) never actually call him a girl. They understand that the writers never meant the player to think he's female.

Japanese artists aren't making Bridget porn because they have a deep and nuanced appreciation of the game's plot that gaijin couldn't possibly understand. They're just horny.
