The translation was edited a bit. Originally it sounded like she was worried about the situation in general.

Yeah, 気になる is, variously 'concerned', 'worried about', 'interested in', 'like (as a preference)' etc. Since the SFX on her is something like 'restless energy/can't wait', it's much more likely to be that she's interested in seeing where this is going (especially given the previous pages) than she's worried about it.
