This is what happens when a series has WAY THE HELL TOO MANY CHARACTERS. Things like this get left hanging for so long that people forget about them.
For that matter, it's been HOW long now since we've seen Yoruichi? And Urahara for some reason decided there was no need to get personally involved in fighting Aizen?

DBZ got kinda retarded after the Cell saga though. I did enjoy both Bleach and DBZ, but both suffer from a flaw IMO. Too long. Both series starts out great, but end up stretching out their welcome. Heck, DBZ was only supposed to last till the Freiza saga. I would have been completely satisfied with DBZ with a "The end" at the freiza saga or Cell saga. As for Bleach, i would have been satisfied with a "The end" after Ichigo saves Rukia.
Think about how similar the 2 are. DBZ was supposed to end with Goku getting his super saiyan powers and then defeating Freiza. (The end). As for Bleach, it would have been rocking if it ended with Ichigo getting his bankai, defeating Byakuya and then Rukia deciding to stay behind. That actually gave just as much closure as the end of the freiza saga in DBZ.
Actually, it's worse than DBGT because of the fact that the "lol nobody dies in Bleach" rule has only recently been cast off.
I absolutely agree that it should have ended after the Soul Society arc. It actually seemed like a sudden, and welcome, departure from the usual shonen endings. The male lead and female lead DO NOT need to hook up at the end of every god-damned series.

Agree 100%. Both DBZ & Bleach should've ended on Frieza Saga & Soul Society respectively.
Sadly, Shounen Jump is one of the biggest money-hungry whores in Japan, and actively "pushes" Mangakas to forcibly drag their stories past their original endings, if they become profitable enough for them...
