So this is uh... the "final"... I think. I donno. I didn't do any shadows or highlights. For the first time, I've tested out the use of gradients, which might look like a cop-out, but it is actually a drastic improvement from my former solid-color method.
Now we know that Leonard Nimoy isn't a lovely shade of green but I do like to incorporate that into my portrayals of Spock. However, I think these colors might be too bold. My computer has a really bright screen so I can't see what people are seeing on monitors...
As requested by several people who have been watching me put together the sketches, I gave Bones some arm hair, which I don't regret! I think that really adds to the picture. Thanks for the suggestion!
I have quite a bit to learn still, I think, about coloring at least. Now I'm shy to pick colors from photos or other people's art. That seems kinda... yucky to me. I try to mix the colors well on my own. But I do make a lot of mistakes, partially because of this bright screen. I might just have to suck it up and color pick from other sources... x(
I don't know what else there is to say other than I'm very happy with this. XD
And now I'm ready to start up another. Hmmm...
Edit: Fix'd a pretty major flaw on McCoy's hand.
