What's wrong with generated images? I make fans of various characters happy. I don't scam people. I'm not saying that I generate pictures or draw them, I let people think the way they like. What problems?

Because we like art that is created with EFFORT, borne from not only TALENT but also the artists' HARD WORK to improve theirself. That's why we honor them by placing those art for all members to see.

AI 'art' doesn't have any of that. Not only that, you're self-uploading your own work, basically tooting your own horn as 'hey, I'm an ARTIST yanno? See this? I created this. LOVE ME!' without actually putting any effort. Danbooru has standards, and your post doesn't live up to that standard. It's as simple as that.

Then why don't you take into account the fact that the artists use the source, such as poses? Do they pay models to pose? Do they pay the site that hosts these photos or do they just steal them? They also create their own style from other styles, which they directly talk about, that is, they copy other people's work.

You're not an artist, you have no idea how artists create their work.
Humans creating art is not even remotely the same at all as ai generating it.

And yes a lot of artists actually do come up with their own styles and create their own poses often they'll even pose themselves and use pics of themselves as reference.
Where exactly do you think that new artstyles come from?
If artists just simply copied each other then there would only be one or two artstyles.

The level of self-entitlement and brazen willingness to scam and lie to people, as well as trying to paint yourself as some kind of gracious supplier of 'art', is nothing short of astounding. Just because you typed in several things into an algorithm (pre-made mind you), to generate an image, doesn't make you an artist, the 'let people think the way they like,' is not a good justification for your actions. Tell them the truth, tell your patrons that you actually generate art, using a simple to use free software that even they could use and see how 'welcoming' and 'generous' they become with that revelation, on top of which, tell them other people would be willing to do your 'work' for free.

That makes absolutely no sense, I am neither a provider of art, nor 'arts' nor do I scam people online with such intentions. If you have nothing good to say and only came here to tout your 'efforts' then kindly leave. None of your previous comments provide justification for your actions, they are just poorly written excuses, from which you are trying to hide behind, just because you have been exposed.

There's literally no excuse to not disclose it's ai too ESPECIALLY for a Patreon ( I'd also argue it's unethical to have a Patreon using ai ).
We all know why he's not disclosing it, we're not stupid lol.
But he's trying to jump through so many mental hoops to try and justify it.

At this point, there is no use in us saying any more. It's obvious they don't care one whit about scamming others, let us save our breath and just wait for them to leave or be banned for some other infraction they may cause later. Besides, if they keep uploading AI works, they'll get banned sooner or later, as for their patreon, that's a separate matter and reports should suffice.

They are elitists that prefer to give money to those that steal copyrighted characters by hand than someone using an AI doing exactly the same. I'm not an hypocrite, I look at both types of art besides at what they do into gray areas. If people can pay someone else for making a drawing because they don't know how to draw nor use Photoshop, they could also have the option to pay for someone else to use an algorithm they don't know its use. That's how capitalism works. Until a law forbids the use of neural networks to draw, he/she is free to use the tool just like everyone else is free to support him/her.

You are just scum if you think doing actual credited work is elitist. You aren't a hypocrite, I agree. hypocrisy demands that you do something similar yourself, not be an idiot who can't tell the difference between actually making something vs crediting yourself for other's work. AI is not doing anything yourself. It's equivalent of pulling a google image search then claiming the search results are your own.

Stop embarrassing yourself and get help.

Do you mean like crediting a drawing and earning money about a character that is not yours? Obviously you don't know how AI artwork operates. As I said earlier (and depending on the AI you use), you have the option to also submit your own references. Veteran Japanese artist do that now with characters from their own design. It doesn't make them less of an artist than they were before.

I kinda get your Technophobia, but the moment you understand AI machines are a mere conjuntion of ON/OFF switches with finite "if" cases that need to be driven by humans to do anything coherent, then that fear goes away.

And I'm extending too much again. There's not rule (I think) that says I should agree with everyone when voicing an opinion here, so it's common to voice mine when I'm in disagreement the few times I post. There's a life out there after all, I don't get paid for licking boots on Internet.

Those "copyrighted characters" were originally made by humans. And practically no one who draws fanart has a vendetta against other human artists or try to replace their jobs. It's usually the opposite. Passionate fan artists can always give back to the industry (via commissioning other artists), or they themselves are already members of it.

That same relationship cannot be said about A.I. There's a clear agenda with how the market is being flooded right now with generated images. Art losing its value over time will send unemployment rates skyrocketing.

...or they could adapt to modern times like everyone else's jobs have done since Industrial Revolution. Then make more out of their talent learned through the years using new technologies. Things a complete studio with more than 10 people was needed in the past and are now simplified to a tool for everyone's reach. Technology progresses and so everyone with it. There are drawbacks sure, but I didn't see you complaining about not depending on TV broadcasts anymore for watching whatever and wherever you wanted. TV hosts, actors and camera men losed many jobs too, then they moved to the Internet using their talents.

And so workers on factories, telemarketers, accountants, cashiers, journalists, stock traders and travel agents to name some. Jobs also feared to be taken totally by computers. How is it any different to an artist? There's no difference. Humans are needed to do jobs, they all now have a machine that assists them. I'm not here to convince you, but in my opinion there's nothing to worry about unless you wanted to sleep in a comfort zone. I end my participation here.

Where I must disagree is believing that all technological progress is inherently good or can't be held back. Atomic Bombs are a result of "progress", but I don't support handing them out to everyone just because they're the most powerful weapon in existence.

The reckless pursuit of A.I with no checks and balances can be treated the same way. It has already "nuked" the internet with the constant barrage of spam it generates on every art gallery. While also having the negative effect of drowning out human artists who can't draw a thousand pictures a day like a robot can.

Nor has A.I done anything to financially support the lives of Artists.

    1. It scraped the internet for billions of images and continues to leech off Human Art without paying anyone involved.
    2. A.I Companies like Midjourney and Craiyon have already found ways to profit off this scam with Human Artists again not receiving any royalties/compensation
    3. As of writing this post, A.I has done more harm to remove Art jobs as opposed to actually creating them. Netflix for example, admits they went to A.I to circumvent labour issues.

    https://www.firstpost.com/world/netflix-blames-shortage-of-labour-as-it-reveals-a-new-animated-short-film-made-using-ai-12112192.html

I could go on but all evidence points me towards accusing A.I for having an anti-human agenda.
