Is Cima really bad though?

She was tricked into committing a warcrime; one where she was absolutely devastated when she realized.

The blame for the warcrime was pinned on her and her men; even though all they did was follow orders. They were turned into pure scapegoats.

So it shouldn't really come as a surprise when Delaz comes to her with an offer that she's not entirely trusting of his sincerity and she decides to make a deal with the Federation, who were honestly the lesser of two evils in this case.

Her only fault is that she is too into battle and really enjoys toying with enemy suits. If she had not been eager to fight Kou at the end not only would she have survived, but her plan would have gone off without a hitch. Hell, Operation Stardust might have even failed if Cima could have gotten to her rendezvous in time.

At worse she's battle starved and at best she's a victim of a corrupt military; ultimately she did believe in spacenoid independence and honestly wanted to help her people.

This point is completely accurate, which is why it's absolutely baffling that she's not saveable or recruitable in ANY of 0083's SRW appearances, despite them making Gato (or at least the GP-02) playable in multiple games, even going out of the way to cut the Nina NTR scene.

From the Tumbnail I thought it was something from Record of Ragnarok.

Compared to Anavel and Delaz, she is a normal sane person, while these 2 want to continue the war even if other Zeon factions weren't too keen on it.

I have never seen a gundam series start stronger nor hindenberg at the end harder than 0083.

Thankfully in the 0083 Rebellion Manga she faked her death and pulled a Judau: Peacing out for Jupiter.
