The fact that he keeps pumping out art of her….you can tell he’s proud of his work here and he damn well should be.
Just…the fact that he handed out a god tier design, that she caught on, that gust quickly realized what they had and capitalized as much as possible.
It just feels good ya know? It feels wholesome. Artist gets appreciated for his passion, gets to indulge in it to the fullest. Gets to fully express it. And he gets rewarded… by people also indulging to the fullest. That’s how it should be. Shared passion.
No ifs. No ands or buts. No caveats asterisks or qualifications. Just…”isn’t this great?” “Yeah. It is” and we all join hands and celebrate.

What’s funny to me is that I read in an interview that the artist said he didn’t expect people to find her sexy or erotic.
Supposedly, the initial idea behind Ryza's design was an energetic farm hand girl from the countryside.
That's still kind of incomprehensible, aren't farmgirls hot? How much did her concept design differ from the finalized thing, did she lack the thighs and the booba?
Shit, I didn’t realize Ryza 2 came out already. I only barely started Ryza 2 due to have a giant backlog, but imma take some time around summer and just…enjoy
This is a good year for games. FINALLY, relink! Botw2. Prime remake. There’s even more that’s not on too of my head.

Annoys the fuck out of other atelier fans though, but besides that yeah.

When most people don't even pay attention to a long-running series until you basically slap "look at these hot sexy thick anime girl thighs" on the cover, I can kind of understand the frustration.

Yeeeaaah... I'm one of those Atelier fans. I just ignore it for the most part, but it is annoying that no one cared about the series until Ryza happened, and then ass and tits suddenly somehow became the only thing people think of when you say "Atelier."
But the modern direction of the series has been bugging me for years, so it's not like it's really anything new. Just gotta wait and see what happens after Ryza, since the games always release in self-contained trilogies.

Eh. Those atelier fans are being just a bit silly, but I do get it.
Ryza’s design was a fluke. That’s clear. So is this mainstream spotlight. Atelier has always been a niche series, and likely always will be. People aren’t really going to care about tins series, so getting mad that people still don’t care is pointless. It’s a passing fad.
Plus judging by what I’ve seen ont he atelier forumsRyza brought in a SHIT TO. Of new fans that are here to stay. This has been good for the series, and good for humanity.

This series goes in a “new direction” every 5 years or so.
I’ve definitely been betting that we get a male protagonist after Ryza. Just seems like something they’d do.

By new direction I mean going the Fire Emblem route. More and more fan service with every game, overly quirky and "moe" character designs. Protagonists just getting ditzier and ditzier, even when they're "smart." I'm still gonna play every single one when I get the chance, though.

They already did that in the Iris trilogy. Three times.

And mana khamia and Logy.
It’s just a feeling I get, just because it would be a palate cleanser and it’s overdue.
Also, it’s funny for anyone to be complaining about ditzy characters and mor designs in the atelier series of all things. The Marie remake is coming out soon.
