It's not boring, just that this match has been stretched to mind-numbing lengths. It's like Dragonball Z execpt with cute loli & attractive mature women.

don't worry about that, Steak is just pissed suwako didn't win. You can bet if suwako had jumped aside and axe kicked flan he'd be throwing confetti and streamers right now
Also: now all that's left is Mei ling to barely survive and flan to declare victory, or maybe Sanae is going to run in tag off suwako and flan is going to refuse to fight them (being all trauma-ed atm)

Actually this fight was shorter than most of the others. Especially the Mokou/Kaguya battle.

Bingo. Meiling jumping up like that was bad enough. Actually having something to show for it is the final straw.
I hate Flan. I hate the whole "uber psychotic loli" archetype. I also hate vampires on a general basis (meaning that there are exceptions). That she's cried for half the match and people are actually being sympathetic towards her irks me.
Next thing you know, Sanae's going to come in and make Suwako into the bad guy. That'll be the ultimate rub.
Anyway, who's in the next match? I know it was listed somewhere, but I can't find it.
I was expecting a berserker Flan, but the would have not only destroyed Suwako, it would have also destroy the ring, the stadium, Gensokyo and life itself
Eh. I like the Moriyas better, but the Scarlets winning makes more sense from the character development standpoint, especially after Suwako went so nuts. (Although both sides did go too far here... how many people feeling bad for Flan now forgot all about that "tough luck if I kill Sanae, it'd be worth getting disqualified" bit earlier?) Every story I read doesn't have to reward my favorite characters for being my favorites or punish the ones I don't like.
In my book, the best end for this would involve Sanae talking Suwako down (though it seems she's as likely to encourage Flan first) and Flan to ignoring the mood to settle it harmlessly while they're distracted with their own drama, exactly as Sanae did to Yuuka. It'd only be fair, heh. But then, I tend to like stories that make most people feel like they got trolled.
Agreed.
Though I'd liked to point people that it's still to early say whether or not that was KO hit for either Suwako or Meiling. With the way it's been going, I wouldn't be surprised if Suwako is still in fighting shape, and Meiling at some point is forced once more to help out Flan.
The fact that Yuka mentioned "She doesn't have much power left in her" in the last strip probably has Flan down to Sanae's level of weakness..... who is ironically making her way back to the ring.

Well she said she didn't have enough for 4 of a kind, we don't know how much she has left tho.
very little chance mei ling is getting up from this one I can see suwako recovering maybe, though seriously weakened and flan can probably still fight as she hasn't taken punishment so much as worn herself down a bit, but no way is mei ling going to do more then a token resistence after such a beating. Similarly I don't see sanae getting back in the fight in a serious way either since she was hammered when flan was still at full strength
besides, Flan has established that she doesn't know anything about technical fighting (to the point where I'm not even sure she can throw a punch) as the last member of team scarlet in fighting condition I don't see the author starting a whole new set of combat between the members when one side can't really bring anything new to the table for the time being
chances are good that flan's the last one in the ring standing victorious crying her little loli heart out, her and mei ling make up and her next match features Flan: Restrained Power Edition possibly through a little 4koma montage of Flan training to keep her abilties in check and wield them with more precision, which would dovetail nicely to making her a better contender for the higher rank matches (and therefor make a good story and a good fight)
Well, Steak, if our favorites always won, then Team Frozen Sunflowers would have beaten the Moriyas and would have done this fight.
Then of course, it'd be Cirno and Yuuka vs China and Flan... That'd be interesting to see.
Also, if you don't like Crazy Loli, you can always use one of the myriad of alternate character interpretations for her. Me? I typically hate how Sanae is usually portrayed, especially in this comic. I've been cheering for her to lose from the start...
Her beating Yuuka only made me hate her any more. >_>
And it's the kind of ad that stops me from backing out of the page in one click! Man, this sucks! They should have either charged more or put ads in the comment section.
"Something" magically happens without us knowing or during the match, and will knock out the other side who apparently was winning, even if cheating.
How many times has that happened in this series already?
Magical hmm lets guess Suwako hits the floor Meiling hits the Sanae. For some reason when you say magical I assume someone magically landing on Sanae now, and who ever does wins the match
...would serve to chastise the young mistress even a little......but that would be asking for too much, right?Meiling!*KER-SLAM*!Waaaaaaa...Waaaaaaaa...You... even go this far...Tcht!Accept it.My power isn't much, but......it's not that simple to unfasten your arms, eh?The Camel Clutch proved to be a good stimulant.Haa...Haa...Feelings That Can't Be Conveyed Through WordsEpisode 454: The Amount of the Goddess's Play
*It's ironic that Meiling woke up since the Camel Clutch should have been a finishing move.
From the Artist's Pixiv page.
"Play" here references the gap between when you start pressing a button or pulling a lever, and when the effect is actually seen, or in this case, whether the Goddess is "on" or "off" yet.But it's necessary, isn't it?
To a child......there must be someone who will side with them, no matter what, unconditionally......but aside from that, to be honest, that one shot she took at Sanae-san......I was, as a matter of fact, a little angry.I'm hoping that this figure of mine...They have both been blown away!!She's hit!!
