this uniform is an improvement over the one in the game
Yeah, seriously, for real, these are the uniforms we should've had for the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet games, not the totally bland & boring uniforms we ended up getting instead (There were so many ways to make school uniforms interesting, but yet, they went with, well, as we all know by now, *that* for the games instead... *smh* Also, no feminine uniform/clothing options for the girls in the Scarlet & Violet games, it's just... What?). Unbelievable they didn't give the main girl protagonist in the SV games this kind of school uniform that Liko gets to wear in the anime (Heck, they didn't even give us the option to wear a feminine schoolgirl uniform (skirt and all, the usual full 9 yards you'd expect) if the player wanted the main girl they play as in the SV games to wear that instead of the default uniform). Very disappointing. =(
Pokemon Players sure got the short end of the stick when it comes to clothing options in Gen IX. I mean, the main girl Liko has such nice & cool clothes in the anime, but yet, the main girl we play as for the games, well, not so much, suffice to say... All-in-all, this is a sad first for the Pokemon games as far as I'd know, I'll never understand why they did that. It's tragic, because they actually gave us some very good face customization in the Pokemon SV games (The hair color & eye color options are very nice, the hair style options are, eh, okay, I guess), but of course, at the same time, for whatever reason, they just had to plunge us into the abyss when it comes to clothing/uniform options & customization. Man, they would have totally knocked it out of the park on trainer customization in SV, had they continued on what they were building up on for clothing customization in the past/previous Pokemon games where trainer customization was present in. They were in slam dunk range... But, alas, they ultimately dropped the ball on this one... Oh, what could have been... =(
Lastly, just to throw this out there... I don't know about you all, but honestly, to me, Liko is (and looks) way more like the main girl protagonist I thought we'd play as for the SV games (Her character design is (and feels) far more in-line of what I'm used to seeing in Pokemon since, like, the beginning really (Like, see, her character design is cool, unique & has personality (Meanwhile, I am unable to share the same glowing sentiments I just said about Liko's character design in-regards to the main protagonists we actually play as in the SV games), much like how all the protagonists in Gens 1 - 8 had cool, unique designs that gave them life & personality)), if I had to say so myself, in-terms of, let's say, if we weren't gonna get to play as an older (e.g. teen) girl protagonist (Personally, I really like playing as a protagonist who is on the older side in the Pokemon games, if I had to say so myself), like we had in Pokemon BW, B2W2, XY, SwSh & PLA. That's what I think, anyhow, so yeah...
