The fun part is that a lot of cephalopods have limited color receptor cells in their eyes and should be colorblind. Some theories are that photoreceptors in the skin are responsible for selecting a color when the animal decides to camouflage itself, or that their oddly shaped pupils allow them to perceive color through chromatic aberration.
