I am certain there is no actual pun between the second and third panels and this is just a classic misunderstanding. I think the katakana in Lailah's line in the third panel is just to emphasize the work "uke" in the original Japanese title. The initial translation appears to fit just fine.

What the "Art of Taking It" book is actually about is not clear, but my guess after playing through both games is that it is one of Ivan's erotic educational books Milla mistook for a combat/self-defense guide. The hard-translated version adds dialog suggesting that Lailah thinks it is about taking a joke, but it is not stated at all in the original text. It's possible that's what she was thinking, but it's also possible that (and I may be looking too much into this) she thinks it's a BL book. She has shown subtle signs of being a fujoshi in the game a couple times, specifically when Sorey's and Mikleo's relationship is concerned.

I'm pretty dang certain that Lailah's use of ウケ here in katakana is to mean "taking a joke" (a joke that is funny is ウケる, after all). That said, Lailah thinking about BL doesn't seem too out of character to me either lol

Yeah, Lailah's love of puns is a much more prominent part of her character and she did say she was trying to think of puns in the earlier panels. I definitely overthought this. Thank you for your help with this and the other strips.

I have a favor to ask of you, Milla-chan.
    What is it, Lailah?
I can't think of a good pun, so...
Do you happen to know a book I can use as a reference?
    Yes, sure. ♪
    Let's see...
I once read the "Art of Taking It," but...
"Art of Taking It"!?Like "taking a joke."
Fill me in on the details, please!
I think that they mistook the meaning...
But they seem to be having fun together, so I'll leave them be.
