Seems that Musk is betting on it being like a drug to make his money back. Though he'd probably have better luck making back his money through making and selling real narcotics at this point.
Maybe if Twitter dies for good, as it'd invalidate whatever message it was trying to make. That said though, I would not be surprised if someone makes a Current Events-worthy artwork that gets posted here, given how the API-debacle is causing a mass-exodus of Japanese users to Instagram.
If I know JP artist or better yet JP in general uses twitter as a way to get attention or promote something.
What ever Musk was doing is making JP people using twitter to suffer from that.

Not even a best place to promote stuff tbh.
It's really the only other well-known social media in Japan that's not LINE or Mixi, neither of which have the kind of functionality Twitter has, and Mastodon/Pawoo never took off despite so much shilling promotion over the years, so for the average Japanese social media user the situation is this: If you don't want to use Twitter anymore Insta's really the only choice you have. Unless you sell your soul to China and sign up for Weibo.
