It's a Macchi M.C. 72. Still holds the world speed record for seaplanes, but was unable to participate in the Schneider Cup. The Porco Rosso 'parade plane' was a Macchi M.39. Single prop and no radiators on the landing gear. Oh, and the Italian team smuggled alcohol in the pontoons when they went to compete in the Cup, because they were going to Prohibition-era Hampton Roads. :)
