Forgot about "her"(Giselle just doesnt seem like a 'girl' pokemon to me). TBH, Chikorita just seems more girly. Also i feel the dynamic between her and Ash was more than it was with Giselle.
But maybe by the time Giselle came around, i felt they were just re-hashing an old joke since chikorita got popular.

Well what do you know. I take back what i said. Did a search on bulbapedia. you were actually talking about a human being. Let me just say, even now, i can name off all 151 pokemon still. But anything after that, wouldn't hold my breath. I thought you were talking about that bat-like pokemon that always face-hugged Ash.

It was from one of the newer seasons. I think (Haruka)May was still with him at the time. I only recently started watching the pokemon anime again with Hikari(Dawn). I kinda skipped over most of the May saga. For me, Pokemon was at its highest with the original Misty/Brock/Ash. And for me, the way you saw all 3 of them split apart and go their seperate ways was the ultimate ending. But ya, Ash had this Bat like pokemon. It wasnt Zubat or Golbat. it was some purple bat thingy.
Like i said before, i only know the first 151 pokemon by heart. So The only thing i can do is describe the pokemon for you. You know how Chikorita always tackled Ash? Well this bat pokemon always face hugged Ash.
