They may be (kinda) the main characters, but they're fighting Yuuka, Yukari, Remilia, Utsuho, and Flandre, amongst a host of other characters. Frankly, there aren't enough bombs to save their asses. Reimu and Marisa are screwed.
This artist may consider there's only 2 playable character and they are very strong because they are main character that's don't suppose to lose.
ZUN really need to make everyone playable in future touhou series(Logically it's impossible, you got at least 60 story line from large number of characters).
PS: They are fighting with only danmaku to consider who's win or lose , it don't show up character's real fighting skill.
It's like a professional tennis player can beat up a professional martial arts fighter in a match of tennis.
I am sure those two can beat up some normal youkais at real fight but defeating some youkai sage or whatever that has at least 1000 years life experience more than them... It's a little bit surreal( for example, Suika surely had seen more stuff than Reimu did, she may just don't want mention it because Reimu won't understand).
Now, this is an opinion. Don't quote me on this. But, for it to be 'perfect' like ZUN implies it is, we have two things.
1) Things cannot interact with her. 2) She can interact with whatever she pleases
Therefore, she's free to bombard you with whatever she wants while you can do nothing (and I do mean -nothing-) to touch her. It's -not- fair. It's the Plot Armor that Kira Yamato's dreams -wish- they consisted of.
For the purpose of abilities like Yuyuko's or Yukari's or w/e, I suppose you could say they need a 'target', or at least something to 'effect'. While Fantasy Heaven is on, there is, effectively, no 'target'. And hypothetical manipulations to bring Reimu into focus don't work either (say, manipulating the border of 'there' and 'here' or border of 'active' and 'inactive' to deactivate Fantasy Heaven) don't work either, because for all intents and purposes there's -nothing there-. But for all it matters, Reimu -is-, you just can't do shit about it.
tl;dr She's fucking broken. It's really the 'perfect defense', or at least is such for personal usage.
The thing is that, too much thing isn't precis by zun. Exemple: Yuugi, 怪力乱神を持つ程度の能力 ability of god messing strength. Is the god in matter form? If it's not the case, Yuugi should be able to affect thing that's not in reality just with her strength.

At any rate, while 怪力 does mean "monstrous strength in Japanese, 乱神 doesn't mean "god messing" in any Japanese dictionary I've seen, and I'm not convinced that any Japanese person would read it that way. More importantly, 怪力乱神 is a four-kanji compound, and just because Chinese people parse it one kanji at a time doesn't mean Japanese people read it the same way.

Anyway, they are good just because of principal character's halo. If they are not, other characters will surely find some ways to destroy them(especially Reimu, even she can float out of reality).

Well, this series is more or less the badass version of each game, when the heroines facing the bosses. I don't think we should take it seriously because Touhou canon doesn't have much info on their powers. I dare to bet even ZUN doesn't have the answer for "powerlevel" in Touhou either, he just gave random power to the characters based on their background and appearance. And Reimu is only the danmaku-strongest because she's the main playable character. Fantasy Heaven is just something he gave her so she can survive when a wild, strong youkai doesn't want to danmaku.
When it's not danmaku, Rumia can expand darkness and eat Reimu in there unless she run away. So my opinion is Reimu / Marisa / Sakuya / Sanae / Youmu / Aya are the strongest when in comes to danmaku, but in actual combat they're nowhere in the top 20 list. (Aya and Youmu may be though, but not the human.)
Reimu has invincibility, and Marisa can Mega-man quite a few spellcards, the others don't stand a chance!
...But in all seriousness, as long as it's a spell-card game, thell be fine.
(Assuming this a fight not using Danmaku or spell cards with everyone using everything they have.)
The problem with everyone else losing is this. Kaguya and Yuyuko. you can't kill something that can't die/is already dead in the first place. Much less going up against Toyohime and her fan that can obliterate the entire Bamboo forest of the Lost at the atomic level. Or Sakuya and her time stopping, and Koishi. she can manipulate your subconscious so that you have to manually breathe, which would be quite the distraction, not to mention making you heart stop beating, as both of those are controlled subconsciously. Also Yukari could very easily manipulate the border of space(physicality? Hitboxes?) and make it so that her Fantasy Seal does not make her immune to damage. That is the one issue with Touhou, almost everyone have reality shattering/game breaking abilities
