    Vatican vs Russian Empire

On March 13th, 2007 at the Roman Curia (at the Vatican), Russian President Putin had talks with Pope Benedict XVI for the first time. According to the ANSA News Agency, the two men discussed repairing the relationship between the Catholic and Russian Orthodox Churches, who have for many years been antagonistic to each other.
But in that afternoon, near the Colosseum in downtown Rome, large-scale fighting broke out. The chances that President Putin and Pope Benedict XVI joined the fight were high, and clashes between the Russian Spetsnaz special forces and the Vatican's exorcist squadron were witnessed by local people.
Local resident Mr. P introduced himself, "I'm actually from France," then continued, "I've thought the heads of these organizations were the strongest for a long time, but really their strength exceeded my expectations. You guys think I don't know what I'm talking about. Indeed, I don't know what's going on at all...."
The battles came to an end after about an hour, it seems like both Spetsnaz and the Vatican suffered casualties.
Yet both President Putin and Pope Benedict XVI declined to comment on the situation, and the silence continues as it has in the past. (I wonder if someone could make me this kind of game...)

An early pope named Honorius III (r. 1216 - 1227), is reputed to have written a grimoire, and as the leader of the Roman Catholic church in Europe (and thus controlling a monopoly on most forms of education at the time), there is a fair chance he did do so, though no official statement from the Vatican nor any known investigator (at least known to me), has ever surfaced regarding with certainty whether or not he did it.

If he did write such a book, there is a fair chance that it, if it is still extant, is somewhere in the Private Libraries of the Vatican, which would meet the current pope would almost certainly have access to it if he wanted to read it.

There's a Russian one-shot about Stalin and Hitler fighting. If anybody could find it and/or upload it I would be very pleased.

We might find out soon, with plans for an online archive pushing through:

A Japanese information technology company has agreed to digitize 3,000 Vatican manuscripts in a deal to make some of the Catholic Church's most historic documents available online.

The Vatican Apostolic Library says it hopes Thursday's announced agreement with Tokyo-based NTT DATA Corp. would protect fragile manuscripts for perusal by scholars worldwide.

NTT DATA said it would digitize 3,000 manuscripts totaling 1.5 million pages over the next four years in a contract worth 18 million euros ($22.6 million).

The company's president, Toshio Iwamoto, told a Vatican press conference he hoped NTT ultimately would make 82,000 manuscripts totaling 41 million pages accessible by computer.

The Vatican Library, founded in 1451, is one of the world's most important research libraries. It has 180,000 manuscripts, 1.6 million books and 150,000 prints, drawings and engravings.
