Cirno won! I have a hunch she'll be fighting Letty at one point too, especially seeing her and Rin together. (obvious match up. vengeance + friend = hard fight) It's nice to see this comic kick back into gear.

Gotta say that was pretty amazing, I just hope Cirno isn't too disappointed when she realizes she can't face off against both Patchy/Meiling and Kanako/Hina.
I get the feeling that Tenshi (since there's no way in hell I'm seeing Chen/Akyuu is going to win) is either going to crush Chen/Wriggle on her own, or Mystia throws a wrench into that, turning it into 3-on-1, causing her to lose somehow.
And with all of the clothes ripping and the apparent lack of anyone wearing bras (Cirno/Wriggle are exempt), I eagerly wait to see what happens in Komachi and Yuugi's match.

Actually, Rin's teamed up with Parsee on the far corner of the matchups. For them to get a revenge match, would be for them to win the entire tournament.
Tora seems to have this thing where he'll make a lot of pages of one fight, stop for a while during the match, then finish that fight and continue until the middle of the next one. So I get the feeling that these updates are going to stop/slow down in the middle of the next match.
Anyway, if Meiling's main character status (which Patchy also benefits from) says anything, it's that Cirno/Wriggle's campaign will end with them at the very latest, so any chances of a proposed revenge match with Koishi/Rin/Utsuho out of the question.
Also harping on the clothes comment I made, I'm also hoping that they at least get a change of clothes before their next matches start, because it'll get really distracting if they continue to fight as-is (especially Meiling and Kanako).
The underdogs seem to be winning the first brackets, so far. Everyone expected Meiling/Patchy to lose, though they were hoping they'd win, everyone expected Aya and Suika to trounce Hina and Kanako, and now CIRNO and WRIGGLE(!!) beating SATORI?

I am the only one who thought the first match was the bullshittiest one? Technically the Sakuya/Alice combo would have everything going for them. They are both long/wide range, plus projectiles and Sakuya's timehax. Patchy and Meiling was a pretty bad match-up, the only thing they had going for them was their "we know each-other's powers better".
The third was hard to predict, either sides could have won. As for the second one; Aya and Suika's powers weren't a favorable match-up. Aya is really fast and Suika is really strong, but that doesn't mean that they can use their powers effectively together. Hina and Kanako was basically Hina boosting Kanako's powers, which was proved effective and it made sense that they won.

Not really... As soon as I saw the first picture of the fight with Satori and Dai I knew that the opposing team would win... Because they were going to pull a stupid thing and cast Satori as the evil person and thus she would lose... Wasn't really a fair fight to be honest it was 2vs1 for most of the match.
The fight between Aya/Suika and Hina/Kanako was relatively balanced until... well, the last part where Aya was knocked out BY Suika... that was a little too poor for my liking I guess.
Not that I'm complaining, this is awesome and I look forward to Yuugi and Komachi's match :3

If you go by that alone, Sakuya and Alice could/would beat most of the other teams simply due to the maid's timehax ability. That notwithstanding, her and Alice against Meiling and Patchy could've went either way, with it being slightly slanted in the former's favor.
Technically, the author is doing a good job. It is actually pretty hard to make a reason and a plot to remove form the competition some of the most powerfull characters.
Yeah, it may seem forced and all, but having the most powerfull/most haxxored characters win all the time would actually make the story predictable.
And no matter who wins, there will always be supporters for the other party to complain. Don't come tryiing to convince anyone that "if it wasn't so exaggerated, I would accept their victory". I doesn't work that way.
I wanted Meiling to win, and would have hated if Sakuya won the first round. Same thing here with Cirno. I was cheering for her. On the second round, I wanted Suika to win, but alas...
You people are judging too much on power and not on Tactics/teamwork.
Sakuya and Alice are strong, but loners. As a result, they mainly fought alone. Meiling and Patchouli used superior teamwork and tactics.
Second Match? Well Kanako's pretty strong, and despite Hina's middling combat ability, she had one major advantage: Luck, or more precisely giving bad luck to her opponents. It was the goddess' inventiveness that won them the battle.
This one? Basically sums up this: Cirno's master of the no-brainer, super effective against mind readers. The only real troublesome part was how strong Dai was with her 'limiter' released.
And it's nothing like Sanae's hax wins in Touhou Tag Dream. Wins here come off as "wow awesome", not "WTF!?"
