Sorry for what's going to be a really long-winded explanation, but clarifying since I'm the one who made ming_yi and he_xuan, the reason why I've been using one or the other is mostly due to the spoilers of "Ming Yi" being He Xuan is a series spoiler. It comes about in book 4 (of an 8 book long series), and neither the anime or manga adaptations of the material have gotten to this point. The separation for the tags also comes from some hopping around of forum discussions relating to that sort of thing. Additionally, most artists usually try and create some visual distinction between the two (see this and this for how this artist depicts it), so it's similar to something like ayin_(project_moon) and x_(project moon).
Of course, I've got no idea how this'd transfer over to modern universe fanart depictions. I also personally don't know bbybluemochi's art well enough to know how they draw these characters, so I'll leave any decisions up to you.
EDIT: Just realized Shi Qingxuan literally says "Ming jie" in the last picture lmfao. Since artist is intending for this to be Ming Yi, I'm going to drop the he_xuan tag from these posts.

I’ll defer to you here :) I just love this artist and did sleuthing on the novel pages but I am not personally familiar with the ins and outs of the novel 👍
