Pineapple salad is the 'Death Flag' dish in the original Macross. I believe it's basically a fruit salad with lots of pineapple.

At the very least, you need to hit them hard enough with a regular kinetic attack to launch them into a Twinkle In The Sky, which is a non-lethal option, but guarantees that the Goldfish Poop Gang will be back Once An Episode. (Yes, normally Touhou has Defeat Means Friendship in full force , but Bignose falls under "non-cute" in What Measure Is A Non-Cute, so doesn't get that luxury.)

basically, in macross, the main character's best friend was promised a salad from his girlfriend after a big battle but he ended up getting shot, and bled out and finally died on her couch while playing an acoustic guitar. it was a really sad part in the anime
