TN: The shrine maiden's title in Japanese was 白蝶鳥 "Shirochouchou", which literally means "White Butterfly Bird". 白蝶 "Shirochou" is the Japanese name for the cabbage butterfly, while 白鳥 "Hakuchou" is the name for the swan. I mulled over what to translate it as for a long time since the literal translation is too unwieldy, but finally settled on an astrology reference. It loses a little nuance but isn't so mouthy to say, hopefully.

At the end of her journey
She brought them to the great tree that connects heaven and earth,
and drawing back the veil of darkness.
That is the story that has been passed down for generations.
she finally arrived in a land where life was not nurtured.
    The earth, filled with resentment.
    The air, filled with grief.
The shrine maiden, whose talent surpassed all others of her clan,
let her prayers be carried by the wind.
    beckoning light
That motherly shrine maiden who sacrificed herself for our clan
was given the title of "Cygnus"
which symbolizes the light that nurtures us, the plants that are the proof of that blessing, and the new life that is carried by the wind.
    Urgh....
