In the games, if you get hit by a bullet, you'd have a very short time frame to activate a spellcard (bomb) and continue. I've seen plenty of people calling it "death bomb", so I guess you can use that. Though, to me, it feels a bit strange using that term in this manga.
On a side note, almost all of the better Touhou players can deathbomb (or so I think), so I guess Reimu'd be good at that, considering she'd the main character and all.

Plus Reimu has a longer timeframe for doing that, at least in Imperishable Night.
Particularly in Boss fights, it can be as long as 1 whole second.

That involves canceling a death from a bullet that's already hit you, however. This page refers to a spell card activation making bullets disappear.

And that's the reason why Reimu said "that was close" because she really almost got totally Pishun! So probably, the next page would be Reimu with her Spell Card activated which Cirno wanted to happen. Death Bomb is the term but I wouldn't use it in this situation. Also, "She just canceled my attack with a Spell Card Activation (or omit activation)" would probably fit better. So the next bubble means that Reimu actually got serious by using a high level skill.

That's a partner's final bomb, which is different from a death bomb, and only appeared for IN. (Although PCB had a slightly longer death bomb frame, as well.)

Also, you can't really death bomb on purpose, or at least, you can't get hit, realize it, and bomb to cancel the death, as you have a window of about .2 seconds, and simple human reaction time is something like .5 seconds minimum for any unanticipated event. Although I've death bombed plenty of times playing, it always came when I was thinking "the bullets are too dense, I better just bomb my way out of this one," and I was surprised to hear a *pichuun* as I was bombing.

You could, theoretically, try to get hit and time it right, but if you can see the bullet that's going to hit you, it's smarter to just dodge the bullet rather than bomb it in the first place.

Honestly, I think the name for the clearing of the bullets is just called "bombing". Or else, you could just say that the spell card's release cancelled the opposing danmaku. I don't think I've ever seen it expressly called out by a certain name, other than cancelling or bombing.

This is perfectly possible in IN, using Reimu, during boss fights. The allowed time is very long as I stated.

But you use 2 bombs for doing that, yanno?

Not if you only have 1 bomb left, yanno?

    Well, that was close.
The shot-wipe from a spell card activation? Not sure if there's an official term for the cancellation/erasure of bullets when a spell card is activated.
If she activated a spell card, that means...!
    Now it's my turn, right?
I can't believe she would make it with that timing...
    Heh heh...
