It was supposed to be a simple assassination job. Slip into a lavish party being hosted by a local crime boss, get him away somewhere, and then quietly take him out and make her escape. It was the kind of thing Maki Harukawa had done dozens, if not hundreds of times before.

Unfortunately, this crime boss proved to be a bit smarter than most. He had spies everywhere, and he knew all about the Ultimate Assassin and what she did to guys like him. The second his security cameras spotted her, he snapped his fingers and sent a wave of goons after her. She fought back, but was quickly subdued and dragged to the basement. After thoroughly patting her down for weapons, they left their captive tied to a pipe in the ceiling, gagging her tightly with black duct tape so her screams couldn't disturb the party guests.

But Maki had managed to keep one last blade hidden away. Getting it out with her hands tied above her head was nearly impossible, but she eventually managed it - only for the knife to fall to the floor with a clatter, landing just out of reach. Groaning angrily into the tape, she reached out for it with her feet, desperately hoping to cut herself loose.

Just then, the door opened to reveal the crime boss. He smiled wickedly. "Well well, looks like our little assassin has a few more tricks up her sleeve. Guess we'd better search you again, extra thoroughly..."
