I find weird that such a manly and epic character did not have a family of his own and i mean blood relatives, a man like him should've had at least a dozen of offprings, sons and daughters to continue his legacy, and women all over the World throwing themselves at his feets.

couple reasons for that:
1. did you see the nurse biatches around him the first time he showed up? he gets his tail, yes sir he does.
2. while he did say he wanted a family, think about it. even if he is godly, having actual blood relations would be disadvantageous. look at roger and ace: ace was hunted before even being born just for being Gol's son. So, he created the closest thing to a family: a crew that calls him "Father" with the highest denoted respect.
3. HE'S A BLOODY PIRATE. it takes a special kind of woman, i.e. Rouge, to bear the seed of a man like Whitebeard. You gotta remember, pirates are still generally considered evil, due to the Marine's propaganda and also the actions of other pirates with more violent swashbuckling tendencies.
4. As for his legacy, even the Marines honored him. His crew, although captain-less if you don't count Marco taking over, still lives on, ensuring that the Whitebeard pirates stick around. And, most importantly, WE THE READERS will forever remember the GAR that is Whitebeard.
They certainly are...special. what about the girl on the Blackbeard Pirates, Catarina Devon? If those were my choices...I guess I would just drink sake.
