[MID-TF] CHITTY CHITTY YANG YANG ~ Ryuko to Yang
Okay wow, first time I've posted one of these guys but I'm proud of how this one turned out specifically, so I decided to make this one an opening statement for this corner of mine. I really like transformation stuff, and I've lurked around for well over a decade appreciating all of the different kinds of things I've seen throughout this site and elsewhere and I've always wanted to contribute something and start to produce something for it because the idea fascinates me personally. But I wanted to go about it in a different angle, instead of just going about randomly doing whatever I felt like, I wanted to have some kind of theming, something to encourage me to get a bit creative by limiting the scope.
So, I thought back to the old Ash craze of the previous decade and thought I could do something similar, so I based the idea of this profile around transforming my favorite character of all time, Ryuko Matoi from Kill la Kill, into various other stuff, whether it be other characters, weird exciting things and so forth. Not only to satisfy my itch, but also to experiment around and do unique things to help improve my abilities as an artist as well as get my favorite girl more out there again in a completely unique way.
The idea here is entirely a seiyuu-based one, as Ami Koshimizu, the voice of Ryuko Matoi in the Japanese audio for the show, is also the voice for Yang Xiao Long for RWBY's Japanese dub. I'm not strictly a RWBY fan, but I enjoy Yang out of the entire cast in the show the most and felt like her design (especially her time-skip outfit which I feel is her best one in the show) would make for an interesting experiment to blend with Ryuko's. Not all of these are going to be in relation to Ryuko specifically in either character or by association like through the actress, but it gave a good starting point for an idea in going forward with this.
So, the TL;DR: I felt like making this, and I feel proud of it. Look forward to more of this in the future.
