Eh, makes as much sense as most Touhou pairings

Pretty much every Touhou pairing is a crack pairing if you're considering canon. Adding Touhou characters in "The Most Unlikely Couples" pool is pointless.

They're both in IN and Wriggle is a firefly.

'Cept that there's already half a bajillion in there. Most Touhou couples outside of the pool have some kind of canon relationship aside from 'lol appeared in the same game XD'.

Plopping this one in that pool, considering that Wriggle and Mokou never interact. Otherwise we may as well just take every single Touhou pairing out.

IF a pairing has a tiny bit of canon in it, or if it has become popular, it's not unlikely.
So if you find some MokouMystia in that pool, remove them.

Why in the hell would MokouxMystia be any less likely? It sure isn't canon, so why should it be removed? Just because it's popular? Just because it's seen a lot more because of mitsumoto does not make it likely, and sure as hell not canon.

There's a ton of pairings that seem popular that have absolutely no base in canon. A bunch of stuff in Touhou is just what people think is interesting, and shipping is no exception. There's a ton of pairings that are popular but don't make a lot of sense: MokouxMystia, SakuyaxAlice, and WrigglexYuuka.

Though actually, WrigglexYuuka is a lot more logical than the others.

That's pretty much the definition of likely. The probability of finding pictures with that couple are rather high.

A very unlikely couple would be Yoda x Michelin man.

As for Touhou couples, I personally don't consider any 2 characters, which have fought (befriended) each other ingame as unlikely, especially if at least one of the 2 is a main characters.

The description of the pool in question is "Pictures with the characters you wouldn't expect showing affections towards each other." Considering that Mokou and Wriggle never interact in canon, there's no relationship there, whether romantic, platonic, rival or whatever. A romantic relationship between the two therefore makes no sense. The same goes for Mokou/Mystia. They never interact outside of the fandom, and therefore also belong in the pool. Just because you can find fanart of them doesn't make it any more likely.

They both wear pants, they're probably the manliest girls around and they're both usually seen kicking stuff. Also, Canon is for Touhou what internet memes are for grandfather.

If it is pants wearing ladies, then feel free to include classic Yuuka.
Nevertheless about the pairing, this image is surprisingly hot with Wriggle is unwillingly tasting Mokou and Mokou's expression.

Fire-fly

An unlikely couple within Touhou would be something like, say, Futo x Orange or Nazrin x Daiyousei. Or nearly anything you could get with this generator (which is how I got the latter).

Thing is, though, chances are someone could take any random pairing and make the pairing make sense.
