There's something I don't get though; is Kusakabe Yuuki going to be the only eroge role of Satou Rina? From what I can find, it seems to be her only 18+ role; did she turn her back on such roles (unlike Itou Shizuka and Harumi Sakurai) after making it big in mainstream anime as Misaka Mikoto? Did she write something in her blog to that effect, such as "I will no longer be voicing characters in 18+ media other than To Heart 2"?

Well, I think none of them have been in 18+ media officially, as they are all always credited under an alias (Kazane, Misaki Rina, Asakura Suzune, etc.) or not credited at all (as I believe is the case with To Heart 2 18+ versions). It seems like Satou Rina only did a few such roles very early on in her voice acting career, and she, for whatever reason, doesn't do them anymore. I wouldn't expect voice actors to say anything on something they weren't "officially" involved with in the first place, though.

Thanks, but another question remains open. Seiyuu like Nabatame Hitomi, Itou Shizuka, Gotou Yuuko, Asakawa Yuu, and even Ishida Akira (not the mangaka) have had extensive success in both eroge AND mainstream anime, so success in one does not exclude success in the other. With that in mind, I don't understand why seiyuu with success in both these industries are relatively rare.

I hope Satou Rina doesn't quit her work in the eroge industry entirely (even though she's hit it big as Misaka Mikoto), since people with her talent are hard to come by in eroge. By the same token, I hope Sakurai Harumi here gets more mainstream work. She did a great job in Angel Beats! and deserves more opportunities in that field.
