In the Gabel Republic, old-style weapons are the norm, but perhaps because of the steep cliffs in this area, the biplanes used are modified Curtiss Hawk-like planes whose original form is unrecognizable. Their slow speed makes them even more troublesome. Normally, platoons in places like this don't report to their superiors frequently, and instead prioritize getting their hands on anything valuable and having fun. Thanks to this, they don't end up being surrounded by a large force, but they do pursue relentlessly. Just before the Cursed Valley, there was a gate-like structure inscribed with some kind of hieroglyphic characters in a cave in the cliff, but it was shattered by gunfire before they had a chance to fully investigate. Farah evaded the pursuit by shaking off the snakes that were persistently wrapping around the gate.
