The important part is ハルヒ第二期は、再来年予定だったのが、スケジュール前倒しになって、来年秋で確定だそうですよ。 which basically says that they were considering a 2008 release but moved it to fall 2007.

As an aside, the next sentence mentions a second season of Zero no Tsukaima. This has all been confirmed by people who, like me, know more than a tiny smidge of Japanese.
