I don't think her ear would be taken off. I've seen this done and the string is nowhere near her ear. Though the pose is very awkward and most likely just doing it while dodging something.
Late comment is late, but for the benifit of anyone who stumbles upon this.
No no, the Pose and Shot (the way she's handling the Bow)are both very possible and reasonable. I'd assume that Master Snipe is correct on the dodging, as that is what this resembles. I've seen this very thing done in simulated combat between two archers (they were using 'dud arrows' with 'soft ball' arrowheads). This one guy dodged an arrow and took a shot from behind his head in mid jump, it looked exactly like this (save the dress, his hair was infact long. Legolas wannabe). No damage whatsoever to himself, the string missed his arm entirely, and he still hit the other guy... who was running by this point. Admittingly, it's a master level shot, very tricky to pull off without hurting yourself, it's as easy as whipping up a batch of deadly poison... which is for her... well, you know, she's Eirin.
