Since when has it hurt to put things more gently? Many doujinshi artists do adhere strictly to canon while adding their own interpretation.
Oh wait, I remember you. An extremist and absolutist, somehow with a strange idea that the fanon thinks of Kaguya as a weak helpless loli who is weaker than Mokou, and making offensive comments about how the fanon memes are bullshit.

Such as?

That doesn't sound good.

How flattering. Well unfortunately I don't remember you. But I do rather enjoy when random people online act like they know about me. I'd love to know what circles of the fandom you run through though, because the ones that I see, my "strange idea" of Kaguya's fanon portrayal is exactly what I think it is. Next time you read a bunch of Touhou doujins, count how many times Kaguya is insulted with the term "neet", shown as being a lazy shut in, or otherwise portrayed as some kind of loser. I'm not even going to get started on how you seem to think that Kaguya being portrayed as weak is something that's in my head or uncommon.
Last thing is..."offensive" comments? People really take offense to my comments insulting fanon? I didn't realize fanon was that sensitive. But if you don't like it...well, does danbooru not have features that allow you to ignore certain users? I got into Touhou by the fanon but once I started playing the games and reading into the canon I've found it very interesting, and it's highly disappointing to see this simplified joke fanon be the face of the series. I've legitimately never seen a fandom warp a work's characters as much as the Touhou fandom does, and it's annoying. Show me these doujin artists that adhere to canon and I'll happily go away while you enjoy your "Yuuka teh haxtest! LOL!" nonsense.
It's rather easy to remember a user when the majority of his/her comments you've seen are bitching about one thing or another.
Anyway, see pool #3755 for PMiSS Meiling, Akatsuki Dou made Save the Gate which also had PMiSS Meiling, actually even Warugaki's sleeping Meiling borrows from canon, jiroo also pointed out several canon things contradicting fanon using Team 9 here post #954748, there have been quite a few strips from various artists of Momiji being on bad terms with Aya after Double Spoiler came out, and Stripe Pattern took canon from UFO and twisted it to its most disturbing extreme.
But let's face it. Besides the games and some side stories, the majority of Touhou is fan driven. ZUN doesn't flesh out his characters that much and as such, fan interpretations are where the characters are most fleshed out or made interesting. Even the official mangas such as SSiB were only provided the scenario by ZUN.
