I know, I substituted the words "lolicon" and "shotacon" in the place of the word I actually wanted to use, since I am unsure how this site would take even an encoded version of the word. As for using "schrodinger", while there may be an official source stating his age, I'm referring to how its unclear how old he is if you go looking on the internet, with even the most accepted answer being "16 or 17", with some even going as high as 18. Its a little bit like a superposition as, until a definitive birth year is observed, Akira is in a state of being both underage and of age (can't rely on him being a junior either as him transferring due to the Shido incident may have jumbled that up a bit). I like to think he begins P5 as a 17 year-old and ends P5S as an 18 year-old, so that he could be on both sides of the fence.
edit: realized a problem with the above statement, namely that I'm equating lolicons and shotacons to "those" sick people, which I do not believe are equatable. Also implied that any of the characters from the game are "those" sorts of people, which is also wrong. Sorry, that was my mistake. Lolicons and shotacons are, by definition, better than "those" people because the sort of content they consume does not hurt real life minors. I should of left out mention of that word entirely.

While there may have been many possibilities before it was revealed, there is now only one. Just because there are people on the Internet still theorizing about Ren’s age because they can’t do basic research doesn’t mean there are other possibilities.

Its not me just making stuff up, but rather giving concessions to the games as it can be conflicting at times. For example, its does indeed state that Futaba, who is 15, is one year younger than Akira, making him 16 when he meets her, but in Persona 5 Stikers (which takes place in summer 2017), Ryuji says that him and Akira "...just reach(ed) driving age", which implies they are just then old enough to get a driver's license in japan, which apparently has a minimum age requirement of 18. We know Ryuji's birthday to be July 3, 1999, so its fair to assume Akira's birthday is around then as well, making him 17 when he meets Futaba; and now you see the issue.
Do I take Persona 5's character profile of Futaba or Ryuji's comments from Persona 5 Strikers to confirm Akira's age? Futaba was born on February 19th, 2001, so for Akira to be generally called "one year older than her", his birth date would have to be around December 1999 - April 2000. The wikis state his birthday to be "c. 1999-c. early 2000", which just means at some time from April 1999 to April 2000, as even they are unsure. The birthdays of the other Phantom Thieves are known, but to this day, Akira's is not known definitively. I truly do think that they kept his age ambiguous.
