How have you been on here for 8 years without knowing AI is banned?
Most of the site rules are irrelevant if you never comment, edit tags, upload, or do anything else that affects the site or the experience of other users. The user probably just upgraded for the enhanced browsing capabilities and didn’t pay any attention to site policy.
Of course, once you do start uploading, you absolutely should start paying more attention to this kind of stuff.
