Idk if the artist utilized it in canon before, but blind people have a better sense of smell than most people, so maybe. Its been a long time since I saw this series, so idk if there is major events worth continuity, but it seems like Sophie & Erika are better friends now.

I think erika got therapy she used to hide her scars but now she doesn't seem so intent on hiding them which is a sign she's improving

No, she's too freaky for blood or deodorant. Shes getting some NATURAL scents.
