Seems to be a common theme in fandom that despite all outward appearances, Mami is probably the most broken soul of any of them. Even in the series, her sanity completely snaps once she's presented with the truth about what a Puella Magi is; witness what she did to that timeline's Kyouko "to save her." Also just look at how much fanart is out there which perpetuates the "Lonely Mami" image, and how desperate for companionship she's usually portrayed as. She's definitely walking that proverbial tightrope, and it wouldn't take much to tip her over into the abyss, let alone the gutpunches she usually receives.

It almost gets to a point where getting nommed by Charlotte was a blessing in disguise for her. At least she was spared the larger heartbreaks that lay ahead for the others.

The "for No Good Reason" means that there wasn't any particular reason for the artist to make this as creepy as it is. Look at all the other posts in the pool. We know EXACTLY what makes them creepy. What we don't know is WHY they were made creepy in the first place.
