Artist's Commentary:

黒田 正実（クロダ マサミ）二等空佐（21歳）扶桑国国防空軍・中東派遣軍、第8航空団司令。TACネーム＜クラッカー＞、ストライカーはF-4EF ファントムⅡ、使用武装はM14 7.62mm小銃、扶桑刀、P220 9mm拳銃。使い魔は柴犬。築城基地防空隊、第8航空団の司令。80年代のオラーシャ派遣時に50機以上のネウロイを撃破し、扶桑国防空軍トップクラスのエースウィッチとなり、鮮やかな居合い斬りによる攻撃から＜ザトウイチ＞の異名を取る。当時から海外のウィッチには知り合いが多い。1990年時、魔力は健在ながら一線を退いており、「そこら辺のおネェちゃん」的な人柄からはその凄まじい戦歴も威厳も感じ難い。年上の下士官からも「正実ちゃん」の愛称で親しまれ、本人も気に留めていない。酒に強くないがかなりの大酒飲みで、ウオトカにすら物怖じしない。酔うと決まって「同期の桜」を歌い出す。　「蕉子ちゃん、さっちゃん、お昼一緒にどう？」

Commander of the Fuso Imperial Air Defense Force's Middle East expeditionary force, the 8th Wing. TAC name: "Cracker". Striker: F-4EF Phantom II. Weapons: M14 7.62 rifle, Fusoan sword, P220 9mm pistol. During her assignment to Orussia in the '80s, she shot down over 50 Neuroi and became the Fuso Imperial Air Defense Force's top-class Ace Witch. Her brilliant lightning-draw slash attacks earned her the nickname "Zatoichi ". She knows a large number of foreign witches from back in the day. In 1990, she retired, though her magic was still in good form, and her "girl next door" personality belied her fierce combat experience and solemnity. Familiar to her senior non-coms by the pet name "Masami-chan", which she herself doesn't mind. A rather heavy drinker despite not being very good with alcohol, she'll even tackle vodka without fear. When drunk, she will inevitably start singing "Cherry Blossoms for Schoolmates ". "Shouko-chan, Satchan, how about lunch together?"

Bit surprised she's so high up in the chain of command. Maybe I was deceived by how cute she is (seriously, this one is super cute).

Hmm... M14, odd weapon for Fuso witch... Wouldn't Type 64 battle rifle be more likely weapon of choice for Fuso witches?
